Variable Frequency Drives

Control Your Pump’s Speed to Optimize Efficiency

Valley® works harder to make it possible for you to spend less in order to operate your irrigation equipment. Install a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) to control your pump motor’s speed, which results in delivering only what your operation needs to function at optimal efficiency. You’ll see dramatically higher energy savings because you’re preventing over-pumping and over-pressurizing your irrigation equipment.

Through our partner, Yaskawa™, we’re able to bring you the highest-quality, highest-performing VFD for agriculture. The Yaskawa iQPump® 1000 VFD (or Valley VFD) leads the industry in performance and features for agricultural irrigation applications, and is easily available through your local Valley dealer.

VFD Benefits

  • Constant pressure results in cost savings.
  • Multiple pivots can be supplied by a single pump.
  • Handles changes in field elevation.
  • Adjust pressure in case of end gun shutoff or flow variations (VRI).
  • Pumps only what the well can manage.
  • Reduces operation and maintenance costs.
  • Uses only the horsepower needed.
  • Controls multiple pumps without needing additional PLCs.

Valley ® 3000 Flowmeter

Better Flow with Maximum Durability, Minimum Maintenance

The Valley® 3000 is a spool-type electromagnetic flowmeter for use in irrigation applications in 4” to 12” pipe. With no moving parts, the Valley 3000 provides unobstructed flow and superior resistance to wear from debris that can be found in ground or surface water. The standard Valley 3000 is battery powered with an available pulse output. Both rate and total indication are displayed. Bidirectional flow reading comes standard with totals available in forward, reverse and net flow. Built-in data logging is an available option for secure flow logging.Set your rate, total units, pulse scaling and various other settings on the front panel touch keypad.

Valley 3000 Benefits

  • Unobstructed flow
  • Superior resistance to wear from debris
  • Minimal maintenance required
  • Optimal for piping configurations where there is little space between the meter and a fitting or valve
